Baby Teeth Matter
There is a common myth that baby teeth are not important because they fall out. However, the facts are contrary; baby or primary teeth play is important for a child's health and development. First of all, they can chew on them, and they can speak clearly and save space for permanent teeth. Baby teeth can also get cavities, which can cause pain, infection, and difficulty in daily life, and that is why early childhood dental visits are important.
Tips for Healthy Baby Teeth:
Brush teeth twice a day with a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste. Floss daily. Limit sugary drinks and snacks, and always rinse after eating any candy or snacks. Avoid long bottle use and additional sugar in milk, especially at bedtime. Visit a dentist by your child’s first birthday.
